What makes Mary Alice Mary Alice: Mary Alice makes nerdy science jokes that annoy her roommate (Elizabeth Schmitt, HC Mt. Holyoke Campus Correspondent) very much. Â She’s also just pretty weird, especially when she talks about the miracle of birth.
Â
Hidden talent: singing songs from The Sound of Music
Three things you would bring to a desert island: “I would bring Small Steps: The Year I Got Polio, an abundance of purple tea, and sudoko puzzles.”
What are your career ambitions: “I am going to catch babies with my bare (gloved) hands. This is called midwifery.”
Â
Why did you come to Mount Holyoke: “When I came to visit Mount Holyoke I was able to go to the Senior Symposium. Â I was just taken aback at how passionate each woman was about her work. Â That’s really what I want while I’m here; I want to have that passion and to have the opportunities to change the little corner of the world that I want to have an effect on.”
