Being away from home when the seasons change can make it difficult to get into the fall spirit, so here are some simple (and inexpensive) ideas to get you into that fall mood!Â
Â
Candle-less Fall Scents
Â
Get a festive fall scented wall plug-in for your dorm! It complies with nearly every college dorm regulation and your room will smell like an autumnal bakery for days.I personally enjoy the Wallflower scent diffusers from Bath and Body Works because they smell just like their iconic candles. If you don’t feel like a plug-in is for you, there are more fun, dorm acceptable scent options for everyone. If essential oils are more your style, add them to a diffuser or put a couple drops into your humidifier. Wax melts and warmers are also a great option that are similar to candles, and they come in all of those perfect fall scents that you crave (just make sure your school allows them, I have found most do).

 Watch a 90’s Halloween MovieÂ
Â
Â
Let’s be honest, no matter how cringe-worthy the computer generated flying broomsticks are, there is nothing quite like cuddling up and watching a classic halloween movie from your childhood. These films are available in a multitude of streaming platforms, such as Netflix and Youtube TV. I personally recommend watching Hocus Pocus while sipping some hot apple cinnamon tea (and Harry Potter is a given, obviously).Â
Amp up Your Coffee GameÂ
Â
Unfortunately, I have not figured out how to make a Starbucks pumpkin cream cold brew with my Keurig, but I will let you know as soon as I do. Adding a little fall zest to your morning coffee, however, can be super simple and affordable. Currently, my favorite coffee syrup is the Skinny Girl seasonal pumpkin spice cinnamon bun flavor (yes, I know how extra I am). This brand is my favorite way to spice up my coffee because they have super fun seasonal flavors and cost about four dollars for a huge bottle, which you can find at TJMaxx.Â

Explore a New Fall Themed ActivityÂ
Â
There are so many options to get off campus and get those cute fall Instagram pics. Visiting a pumpkin patch is one of my favorites (although not free if you buy a pumpkin, unfortunately). Simply taking a relaxing walk and enjoying the incredible foliage is also a great option, and is a great antidote for midterm stress as well. I also love spending way too much time scrolling through fall Pinterest photos, which make me feel super inspired and ready to bundle up in a giant sweater and marvel at everything the fall season has to offer. You can also find a perfect, complete fall bucket list full of activities here. Â

Happy fall!!Â
