16 Inspirational Quotes

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Mt Holyoke chapter.

The very last week of the semester is getting close! Just keep pushing a little bit more and you’ll get there. It is hard, but don’t let the preparation for final exams let you down. What I usually do when feeling tired is spending time musing on my favorite quotes which keep me motivated to move forward. Below is a collection of some inspirational quotes that I really like. I hope they can cheer you up on a bad day and inspire you every day.

1) “When I’d get tired and want to stop, I’d wonder what my next opponent was doing. When I could see him still working, I’d start pushing myself. When I see him in the shower, I’d push myself harder” Dan Gable – Olympic gold medalist in wrestling

2) “It does not matter how slowly you go, so long as you do not stop”. — Confucius – Chinese philosopher

3) “Failure is another stepping stone to greatness.” — Oprah Winfrey– American media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer, and philanthropist

4) “Our only limitations are those we set up in our own minds” — Napoleon Hill – American author

5) “Don’t limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve.” — Mary Kay Ash – Founder of Mary Kay Cosmetics, Inc.

6) “All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.” — Walt Disney – Co-founder of The Walt Disney Company

7) “The more you dream, the farther you get.” — Michael Phelps – Olympic Medalist in Swimming

8) “It is never too late to be what you might have been.” — George Eliot – English novelist, poet, journalist, translator

9) “Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.” — George Bernard Shaw – Irish playwright, critic, and polemicist

10) “If there is no struggle, there is no progress.” — Frederick Douglass – African-American social reformer, abolitionist, orator, writer, and statesman

11) “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself, any direction you choose.” — Dr. Seuss – American writer

12) “Where you start is not as important as where you finish” — Zig Ziglar – American author, salesman, and motivational speaker

13) “I’ve only had two rules: Do all you can and do it the best you can. It’s the only way you ever get that feeling of accomplishing something.” — Colonel Harland Sanders – Founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken

14) “I just love it when people say I can’t do it, there’s nothing that makes me feel better because all my life, people have said that I wasn’t going to make it. “Ted Turner – Founder of CNN

15) “In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.” — Robert Frost – American poet
16) “You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.” — Mae West – American actress, singer, playwright, screenwriter

Consolidate your determination, and whenever you feel bad, just remember that as long as you try your best, you will get what you want. I wish you the very bests of luck for your final exams. Keep on going and you’re done in 1 more week!
