DIY Diaries: How to Make an Ebellished Headband Part Two!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at MSU chapter.

For the second headband you will need fabric.

Layout the fabric of your choice and then cut out a large strip of that fabric.  Make sure you can fold it in half and be at least one inch thick.

Take the thread and run it along the unfinished edge.  Thread a single stitch through the fabric and pull it so it ruffles.  If you pull it tight enough it will look like a hair tie.

Glue a small cardstock piece along the edge of the ruffled fabric.  Hold onto the cardstock and wrap the fabric around it so it resembles a flower.

Cut out any noticeable cardstock.

Wrap the fabric around your head so you know where you want the flower to sit.  Mark it with an x.  Then sew the flower onto the x.

Voila! You’ve got a new ribbon headband.
