This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at MSU chapter.

We run across the sand with all the force we have, hand in hand.

Determined to make it and to reach the end.

I keep my eyes trained on the sun ahead of us, trying to block out the forces pursuing us from behind.

We are almost there.

We have almost made it out.

But you grow tired.

Your hand grows ever colder in mine.

I try to lend you my strength.

I remind you that we are almost there.

You look behind you with your frightened eyes.

I remind you it was all thanks to you that we made it this far.

You are tired.

You say you don’t want to drag me down.

I tell you that if we go down, we go down together.

——

The 9 of Wands:

You are reaching the end of the journey.

But in your last steps your courage falters.

You are growing weary.

Lift your chin up and carry on.
