1. So Many Clothes!

The main thing I over-packed for college was definitely all of my clothes. As much as I love fashion and having many options, I could have been more realistic. I didn’t  need to bring almost every piece of clothing I owned. By the end of the semester, I found so many clothes that I had never even worn. With such limited space, I really had to focus on just bringing the essentials of my wardrobe and things that could easily mix and match, while leaving the pieces I don’t wear as much behind.

2. …and Shoes

The same thing goes for shoes! My dorm closet clearly doesn’t support my shoe obsession, so again, I had to make some difficult decisions and decide what I really needed. Throughout the previous semester, I just found myself mainly gravitating towards the ones that made the long walks around campus more comfortable so I recommend that those are the ones that stay.

3. Excessive School Supplies

With such a heavy reliance schools now have on technology, I found myself not even using all of the notebooks and folders I had brought with me. Almost all of my assignments were completed and handed in online so all my school supplies ended up being just a waste of money and desk space!
