Unique Airbnb’s You HAVE to Book For Your Next Trip Abroad!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Montclair chapter.

Over a year has passed since Covid-19 rocked the globe and changed the way we live our everyday lives. With our country’s vaccine program moving rapidly, Americans are feeling comfortable booking vacations and flying abroad once again! Furthermore, as the travel industry continues to slowly recover, it’s vital to make safe decisions to have a great trip!

Hotels globally have implemented new rules and regulations to curb the spread of Covid-19. However, this leads to frustration for travelers looking to still relax and have a great experience. In the U.S., hotels and resorts in Hawaii have been flooded with tourists for the last few months. This has resulted in a limited number of amenities offered to guests and regularly having to wait in lines due to social distancing measures. For example, guests who are eager to get a lounge chair by the pool aren’t guaranteed one because hotels are complying with 6ft distance.

For those reasons, I can safely say that Airbnb’s are your best choice for those looking to travel while limiting the amount of exposure from others! Additionally, by booking Airbnb’s, you don’t have to worry about reserving and sharing amenities. That’s why I’ll be sharing some of the most unique accommodations for your next vacation!

Window to the Duomo

Fancy a trip to Italy this summer? This Airbnb offers the BEST view of Florence’s Duomo and Cathedral straight from your window. Perfect for solo travelers looking for a cozy-artsy stay surrounded by the biggest attractions! The studio accommodates a maximum of one person in the heart of Florence with a full range of amenities!

The Wizard’s Lodge

Calling all Wizards! This one’s for you! Nestled in Eastern France near the border of Germany, this Airbnb is located in the city center of Colmar. With incredible attention to detail while accommodating a maximum of four guests, this is a dream come true for Harry Potter fans! Furthermore, the cottage is equipped with tried-and-true Harry Potter themed snacks including Butter Bear, Jelly Beans, etc.

The Seashell house

A villa in the shape of a SEASHELL? Yup, you read that right. This Airbnb is the perfect place for a girls’ getaway in sunny Isla Mujeres, Mexico. Built by two locals, this fantasy-looking villa accommodates four guests. Celebrate your 21st birthday or bachelorette party by living a mermaid dream with a one-of-a-kind luxurious experience. Featuring a pristine pool and grill, I’m already looking to book my stay here!
