Transitioning Your Summer Wardrobe Into Sizzling Hot Looks

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Montclair chapter.

Although hot girl summer is coming to an end, it doesn’t mean that summer trends have to go as well. There’s no need to confine yourself to just chunky sweaters and riding boots, even though they are divine. Fall attire can be just as sizzling as this year’s summer fits without sacrificing biker shorts or camisole dresses.

Tank Bodysuit & Midi Skirt

Don’t put away your tank tops and skirts just yet! I know as cooler weather approaches, we become a bit anxious to put away clothing that shows the slightest skin. However, it’s not quite winter yet. Pair a slim fitting tank top with a textured midi skirt and, hear me out, a pair of dad sneakers. I know that must sound so weird but try it! Not only will you look super trendy and chic, but you’ll also feel like you’re floating on clouds all day. Moreover, add a leather jacket or a blazer to complete this look on a chilly day.

Espadrilles & High Waisted Flare Jeans

Espadrilles are such a summer staple. But in the fall, instead of wearing them with a dress or shorts, I opt for high waisted jeans with a bit of a flare leg. The vintage look is back in style and espadrilles elevate it; no pun intended!

Tee & Camisole Dress

I love a silky camisole dress in the summer; the breezy vibes embody summer at its best. But it doesn’t have to be limited to just one season. Add a neutral tee shirt underneath your dress, pair it with some sneakers or chunky booties and you’re good to go!

Biker Shorts & Sweater

Though biker shorts are associated with athletic or casual attire, this is a look that can definitely be dressed up with a nice chunky sweater and some heels or, as shown below with a blazer. And of course, you can always swap the sneakers for some strappy heels.
