HCM: Best date that you have been on?

NB: I was a freshman and it was a simple evening at a café where we talked, flirted and laughed for hours until asked to leave due to closing time. Being in an environment that wasn’t filled with romantic pressure allowed us to make an impression in a casual, organic way. For me, it doesn’t take anything more than good chemistry to make the perfect date.

HCM: Top 3 qualities you look for in a partner?

NB: I look for people who exude positive energy because that’s what I need around me when life gets crazy and stressful. Someone who can make me laugh is also a must (which is sometimes difficult to find because my sense of humor is rather complex). I also gravitate toward people who are driven and have goals– it’s both inspiring and admirable.

HCM: Favorite place to go on campus?

NB: I absolutely love the Red Hawk Diner. In my opinion, it’s one of the most underrated spots on campus. The food has yet to disappoint and the service ranges from courteous to wildly entertaining. Not to mention, it’s open 24/7!

HCM: MSU has a train right on campus to NYC. Do you often take city trips with friends when you’re not in class?

NB: I use that station to take trips to NYC all the time. My favorite place to go there is Chelsea. It has good shopping, tons of fun/trendy restaurants and bars, and it’s an easy walk from Penn Station.

HCM: Best class you’ve taken at MSU?

NB: College Writing II is the best class I’ve taken here at MSU. I learned a lot about myself through freely analyzing literary works and writing about them. Since taking it, writing has become one of my favorite hobbies.

HCM: Are you involved on campus with extracurriculars?

NB: I’m a member of Epsilon Delta Epsilon honors fraternity and I’m on the e-board for MSU Marketing Association. I do a lot with these organizations but to keep it simple, we prepare each other for the future. I’ve been given so many useful tips for my future career and have used my past work/internship experiences to help others with theirs. What I like most about these organizations is the opportunity they’ve given me to meet so many fabulous, hardworking students here at MSU.
