This past month Justin Bieber released his first single in four years titled Yummy. As a self-proclaimed Belieber, I was so excited for this single to be released because I knew that an album would be released with it, but after listening to ‘Yummy’, I’m not so sure his new album is going to be a hit. Although Yummy gets me bopping it did not do well in the charts, which makes me think will his new album be a hit or miss?

Justin has been a huge icon in the music industry for a little over 10 years. He is extremely talented and has created some of the most top hits during the 2010s. Justin has started out this new decade with his musical return. He seemed to be coming up string announcing his single, album, docu-series and tour for the summer of 2020, but when I heard his single ‘Yummy’ I started to second guess everything. I know Justin has the ability to make amazing content because I have been supporting him for years, but I also know that this new single just isn’t it.

It’s hard for me to say but I don’t think his new album is going to be hit. His single didn’t hit No. 1 in the charts which is extremely rare for him, but this is something that makes me believe that his album is not going to be too successful compared to his previous releases. I know beliebers like myself will continue to support Justin, but I don’t think the general public is going to pick up on his new sound seen in this album. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what his new album sounds like to really tell if it’s a hit or miss, but in my opinion, it’s looking like a miss.
