Ah the Oscars; a celebration of talent, glamour, and the mark to an end of the 2014 awards show season. We have watched attentively, as these A-listers shown above have walked across the red carpet and dazzled an audience around the world with their glorious choice attire this season. Most stars chose to keep it safe at this year’s Oscars, but for a daring few, details, details, details, were the name of the game.
Let’s start off with the fabulous Kate Hudson, where do we even begin? Our jaws were left hanging when she showed up to the event in this beautiful, long, silver Versace gown. Her plunging neckline was stunning, as was the draping shoulder cape. She looked nothing short of INCREDIBLE.
Lupita Nyong’o, ’12 Years a Slave’ star, has outdone herself yet again proving herself a true A-lister, dressed in an icy blue Prada. The gown itself may have been a bit simple, but the way it flowed as she glided was breathtaking. She toped off the look with chic jewels and a headband.
Cate Blanchett may have taken home an Oscar for best actress in a leading role, but she also takes the cake for one of the best dressed in our eyes. Blanchett looked like a true movie star as she shimmered in her nude Giorgio Armani gown.
Jennifer Lawrence: ‘American Hustle’ star, the girl on fire, and most importantly our spirit animal! This A-lister looked absolutely stunning in her bright orange Christian Dior gown (when she wasn’t face planted on the ground, sorry Jen!). The gown was simple and elegant, but that necklace really put the look in perspective, one word, beautiful!
Angelina Jolie is no stranger to the red carpet spotlight, as she is one of the most well known A-listers. All eyes were on her as soon as she rolled in, her dress could practically speak for itself. It was hard not to stare and admire this shimmering Elie Saab Haute Couture gown. If looking absolutely alluring in this piece wasn’t enough, she finished the look with 42-carat diamond earrings.
