HC Montclair’s Celebrity Crushes

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Montclair chapter.

Hi, collegiettes! This week, we’re bringing you an article that has definitely been one of the most enjoyable to research and write: HC Montclair’s Celebrity Crushes! Everyone has a celebrity crush, right? Right! We polled all of our fabulous writers to see just which celebs make them swoon and, boy, they did not disappoint. There were some that many seemed to be obsessing over across the board (I’m looking at you, Chris Hemsworth) and others that left me with a new obsession of my own! Dying to find out who your HCM writers love? Read on and find out!

The Brits. It’s no secret that American girls love our boys from across the pond, so it was no surprise to see so much British love in our poll! Our writers particularly love Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, and Eddie Redmayne! They are three of the best actors to come out of England as of late (we’re rooting for you at the Oscars, Eddie!) and with smiles like those, what more could you want?

The athletes. Whether you’re an athletic girl or not, there’s certainly an upside to spectating when the athletes are this handsome! We have some soccer fans on our team as we had Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez and Bayern Munich’s Xabi Alonso’s names come up in our poll! Also, if you’re going to have a list to do with a premier athlete who’s more than capable of winning your heart, it’s impossible not to mention Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Seriously, who doesn’t love The Rock?

The musicians. Everyone has a favorite musician that they obsess over and our writers love them some Justin Timberlake (naturally), Ed Sheeran, and Patrick Stump! When guys have a way with words, a guitar and can make you groove to their infectious sounds it’s impossible not to love them!

The bad boys. It’s a proven fact that girls secretly love the danger and mystique of a bad boyWe’re still reeling over Charlie Hunnam with the end of Sons of Anarchy last year and Ed Westwick will always be in our hearts as Chuck Bass (Chuck and Blair 4eva.) Fortunately, we have Ryan Guzman steaming up the screens as JLO’s crazy, stalker neighbor in The Boy Next Door to keep our bad boy appetites satisfied. What can we do? We just love em’ bad!

The heartthrobs. No matter how old you get, there will always be heartthrobs that you’ll find as a poster on your wall or as screensavers on your phone. Our ladies love Nick Jonas, Zayn Malik, and Theo James. What’s not to like? They’re all super talented, incredibly sweet, and not hard on the eyes, either!

The romantics. Just as much as we love them bad, we love them good. In fact, the more romantic, the better! We’re pretty sure everyone’s been in love with Ewan McGregor since his Moulin Rouge! days (still looking for our own Christian, by the way) and Ryan Reynolds stole everyone’s hearts in movies like Just Friends and The Proposal.  Also, it’s pretty much girl code to love Ryan Gosling because of two words: The Notebook. Our girls are romantics and we love our romantic leading men!

The heroes. Every girl is looking for their own superhero, so it’s natural to obsess over the ones in the movies! Captain America, Thor and Star-Lord have taken over our writers hearts and rightfully so. The Chris-trifecta of Evans, Hemsworth and Pratt has grown to make them mega-stars not only for their good looks, but for their hearts and personalities! It’s well known that all of them are hilarious (seriously, watch any of their interviews) and incredibly kind and charitable. Kind? Funny? Handsome? Sounds like a superhero to me!
