As Halloween quickly approaches, so does the need for a costume. Need some ideas for costumes? Well, you’re in luck because here is a list of costume ideas for singles, duos, trios, and groups!

Single Costumes

  1. Snoopy – Whether you want to dress up as Joe Cool, Flying Ace, or even just classic Snoopy, this is a great costume that is not only easy to put together, but is also a definite crowd pleaser.
  2. Coraline – This classic movie is known for its dark and creepy themes, which are perfect for Halloween. Coraline’s blue bob and yellow raincoat are easy to recognize and recreate. If you are trying to go for a costume that embodies a creepy, fantasy-horror blend without being overtly gory, this is perfect for you.
  3. Sabrina Carpenter – With the release of her brand new album, Man’s Best Friend, and her tour starting up again soon, this short and sweet delight is sure to turn heads. Not only is she so iconic, but her style is very trendy and recognizable, which makes this an easy and memorable costume to put together.

Duo Costumes

  1. Elphaba and Glinda – With the release of Wicked last year and Wicked: For Good coming out at the end of November, this is an extremely popular costume idea. Not only are Elphaba and Glinda the perfect dynamic duo, but it’s also very versatile, so you can either go all out with full gowns and facepaint or keep it simple.
  2. Witch and Black Cat – Though this is a common costume, it is also a very flexible one. You can either go all out with a full witches dress, a broom, and a black cat one-piece or keep it simple with just a black dress, a witches hat, and some cat ears.
  3. The Shining Twins – The Grady Twins are minor characters that appear in Danny Torrence’s Visions in the Shining Movie. They are iconic horror characters that allow for an easy-to-coordinate costume with an eerie feeling that will leave people spooked.

Trio Costumes

  1. Hex Girls – From the classic cartoon of Scooby-Doo, the Hex Girls are a great costume that allows for creative interpretation. Each member has a unique style—Thorn’s edgy rockstar vibe, Luna’s witchy aesthetic, and Dusk’s mysterious look. The distinct personalities make it easy to find or create a look that fits your personality.
  2. Sanderson Sisters – The Sanderson Sisters are well-known from the cult classic film Hocus Pocus. This costume offers a cohesive group theme with individual styles based on each sister’s personality, which includes their signature colors and details.
  3. Bumble Bee, Butterfly, and Ladybug – I know this is definitely not the first costume that comes to mind when you think of a trio costume, but it is so versatile, visually appealing, and allows for personal creativity. The combination of cute stripes, colorful wings, and polkadots makes for a fun and whimsical look that is sure to impress.

Group Costumes

  1. Sex and the City – The four main characters have distinct and iconic styles, making them easily recognizable and adaptable for various costumes. Carrie has a fearless and eclectic style that blends high-fashion with vintage and street-style elements. Samantha has a bold, confident, and glamorous style that emphasizes power dressing, bright colors, and statement pieces. Charlotte focuses on classic, feminine, and polished looks that emphasize elegance and timelessness. Finally, Miranda has a style that blends corporate chic with androgynous and casual elements.
  2. Winx Club – Each fairy has a signature style that can be recreated, and the outfits include magical elements like detailed wings, sparkly accessories, and distinct colors that bring the character to life. Dressing as the entire group of Winx fairies is a fun way to celebrate friendship, a central theme of the show.
  3. Strawberry Shortcake Girls – The Strawberry Shortcake theme brings a sense of childhood nostalgia, which makes it fun and recognizable. The costumes are visually appealing due to their bright colors, such as pinks, reds, greens, and yellows, which are eye-catching and fun for parties or just a simple get-together.

I hoped this helps inspire anyone who was looking for a cute costume for Halloween and was out of ideas! Have a happy and safe Halloweekend!
