Name: Dylan Ebraheem
Birthday: December 12
Year at MSU: Rising Junior
Major: Fashion Studies

Dylan is one of our own as HC Montclair’s Social Media Director. In addition to updating our wonderful readers about the latest news on our twitter and Facebook page, Dylan frequently writes for our “Who Wore it Best” column.  But wait, it doesn’t end there. She takes her love for writing and puts it out for the world to admire on her blog, www.sartorialspice.com. Check it out!

Choosing a major is a personal choice and requires extensive thought; after all you must always follow your dreams. Dylan had originally applied to MSU as biology major and eventually switched to English. Halfway through her freshman year she realized that it wasn’t something she wanted to do in life and declared Fashion Studies. She exclaims, “I love the art of fashion, the details, and the workmanship of clothing. It excites me!” Dylan is already on her way to success. Upon graduation she hopes to have obtained her dream job, in social media or doing PR in the glamorous world of fashion.

It is no secret that Dylan is one of MSU’s fabulous fashionistas! While describing her personal style she states, “I’m a mixed bag. I like to dress up and down. I dress comfortably but I always like to add a touch of glam.” Dylan loves all things fashion, but especially the feel of fabrics and how it makes a person feel. She adores the fact that fashion allows you to bring your own personality onto the table.

You might be thinking, how does one balance school, a magazine position, a blog, and work? Just turn to Dylan, she has the right idea. She explains enthusiastically, “ Planning is the easiest and most stress-free way to balance work, school, and everything else.” She writes EVERYTHING down in her calendar and planner. I think we could all use some of Dylan’s surefire method of organization to keep track of our busy lives.

Dylan defines happiness in two words, friends & family. Friends and family provide unconditional love and support. She states,  “Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today, and I am very happy with where I am now.”
