In college it’s easy to fall into an unhealthy diet. You’re up all night cramming for an exam, meanwhile the box of cookies across your dorm seem to be taunting you. Before you turn to the dark side, know that you can satisfy your sweet tooth in a much healthier way with 5 simple swaps!

1.     DON’T take a trip to the frozen yogurt shop in town. DO try non-fat plain Greek yogurt. Layer fresh fruit and granola for a calorie cutting sweet option. Greek yogurt is also super high in protein.

2.     DON’T succumb to the dark side and reach for those cookies. DO grab a handful of almonds and chunks of dark chocolate. Dark chocolate has amazing health benefits such as; reducing blood pressure, stress, and releasing endorphins.

3.     DON’T reach in the freezer for a sugar overloaded Popsicle. DO try freezing fresh grapes; it tastes just like a Popsicle without the extra calories!

4.     DON’T grab a bag of gummy bears. DO try dried fruit—It’s like a gummy snack with fewer calories, sugar and is also a great source of vitamin C

5.     DON’T search your freezer for some chunky monkey ice cream. DO freeze dark chocolate dipped bananas. This snack is a craving killer and gives you your potassium fix of the day!
