5 Recipes that Will be the Apple of Your Eye this Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Monmouth chapter.

We all know that with fall comes apple picking, and with apple picking comes buckets and boxes of apples, more apples than any person knows what to do with. We at HC Monmouth came up with 5 different recipes you can make with apples and attached recipes that you will apple-solutely love to make this fall.

1.Applesauce

Every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas, one of our writers’ mom makes homemade applesauce. Peeling, coring, cooking and then pureeing, you will have homemade applesauce in a little over 30 minutes.

2. Apple caramel cake

Who doesn’t love cake? And then with apples and caramel, this will sure be a hit at any fall holiday or even Christmas! This cake looks absolutely amazing, and we will be sure to make it sometime soon.

3. Apple chips

We all know the bagged apple chips from Target or Whole Foods, but now you can make them right in your kitchen! With different spices to sprinkle over the apples and then put them in the oven, you have a healthy and delicious fall treat.

4. Apple butter

We recently found apple butter at Trader Joe’s and it has become a fall staple for some of us at HC Monmouth, but we have now found a recipe that could be just as good. With some cinnamon, cloves, brown sugar, and of course the apples, this might become super addictive to put on almost anything.

5. Apple pie

We cannot talk about apples without apple pie. It is one of the best fall treats and in some of our opinions, is better than pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving. There is nothing better than baked cinnamon sprinkled apples in a fluffy pie crust, and we found a recipe even the not so experienced bakers can make.
