In every Netflixers life there comes that dreaded moment of having to pick a new series to begin. With billions of series on the server, finding the perfect one to commit to for seasons seems like a daunting task. Here are the stages of commitment we all go through when trying to find our perfect Netflix match . . . at least for the next few days.
Refusal
“Nothing will ever be as good as Orange is the New Black. I don’t even know what I’m trying.”
“I’m bored. Let me just find something to watch for now.”
Minor Acceptance
“At least the main character is pretty cute. I can always use some eye candy.”
“HAHAHAHA . . . I guess this shows a little funny.”
Bargaining
“This paper isn’t that important, I can procrastinate a little.”
“Another episode won’t hurt, I only have to wake up in 4 hours.”
Love
“Awwww, I hope they get together! They would make the cutest couple.”
“This show is my life. The main character is my spirit animal.”
Obsession
“Oh no she didn’t! I did not see that coming! Talk about a plot twist!”
“Sorry I just can’t come out tonight, there’s no way, I have way too much work.” *binge watches seasons 3 through 5*
Promoting the Legacy
“Oh my gosh! No, forget about Breaking Bad, you HAVE to watch this show!”
“Just because it’s not Friends doesn’t mean it’s not worth watching, okay?”
Prologing the Inevitable
“Okay, if I limit myself to two episodes a day I’ll still be able to watch this show for another two weeks.”
“There is no way there’s only six seasons. Netflix has to be coming out with new episodes like tomorrow.”
Heartbreak
“What?! That’s it?! It’s over?!”
“Welp, that’s it. Netflix will never be the same again . . .”
Anger
“No, Netflix, I would not like any of these suggestions! I would like more episodes!”
“Why is there never anything good to watch on here!”
And the cycle continues . . .
