In 1998, Disney gifted us with one of the greatest films ever. Halloweentown! But who knew it was a real place?!
Halloweentown was filmed in St. Helens, Oregon. Since St.Helens made it a tradition to recreate Halloweentown every October. It has the big pumpkin in front of city hall in which they host a ceremonial lighting for celebrating the beginning of the month. Sound familiar? It’s the exact same pumpkin from the movie! They provide families who visit with tours around the town, little festivals for children, contests, games and much more! In Halloweentown, the “people” who lived there were goblins, ghosts, skeletons, witches, etc. You will see some because you are allowed to wear costumes! They even have some celebrity guests make appearances to meet fans!
I don’t know about you guys, but this jumped to number one on my bucket list! I am definitely going to visit…but in a car, not a flying bus!
