Can you tell us about Pocka Boot?

Pocka boot was created because of the many times I’ve been carrying around my phone in my hand and having no place to put it.  I hate purses and I enjoy being hands-free.  What inspired me was observing other girls with the same dilemna or even their friends or family to hold their belongings.  We don’t want to carry pocketbooks all the time! So, I’ve decided there needs to be a solution.

How did you come up with the idea?

Enjoying the trend of wearing leggings and my comfortable boots, having no pockets and sticking my phone in my boot.  Then, when it kept falling to the bottom, I said there needs to be a pocket.

What is your ultimate goal with your business?

To solve the problem of other individuals with the same or similar dilemna as mine, as well as make a profit doing it!

What made you decide to enter Shark Tank?

I desire to be on the real Shark Tank, so I decided to go for the one Molloy was having.  I am truly grateful for the expereince as well as the Entrepreneurship Club. Thanks Molloy!

How did you feel when you won?

When I won, I was so shocked, looking at other students and thinking that they had such great ideas.  I had been doubting myself and being my own worst critic. But I did it!

What was your first ever business idea?

My first business idea was heated tolient seats: I hate cold toilet seats, especially first thing in the morning, OH MY GOD!

Do you have other business ideas you’ve worked on?

This is my first one.

Do you have any advice for aspiring entrepreners?

If your idea solves a problem, society needs you! Never give up and believe in yourself- and if it’s meant to be, it will be! Que sera, sera.
