It’s that time of the year when classes have started and your schedule is slowly starting to get busier and busier. This time of the year can be very stressful because you’re trying to manage everything all at once and you often forget about yourself and what you need as an individual. It’s okay to take time away from the homework and life to just relax and love yourself.

Take time to read a book you have always wanted to get into. Whether it be for half an hour each day, anything to promote that self love is much needed. Go for a walk, especially now that you can see the leaves change colors. Get out there and explore the places around you, there may be a place in your community that you never knew existed. Painting and crafting are things I love to do when things get too hard to handle and I need time away from everything. It allows you to express your self and self expression is very important to loving yourself.

Never forget that you are human and things will get tough but adding some of that self love into your daily routine can totally change your day. Never give up on what you are doing and strive for everything you want in life.
