The past few months have brought a lot of new firsts for me. To name a few, it is my first time being single as an “adult,” my first time living by myself in my own apartment, my first full semester of upper division classes, and the list goes on. As I am starting to adjust to my “new life” there are a few essentials that have either helped me stay organized, helped me relax, or simply brought me joy.

1. Olivia Care Body Oil

With the workload of school starting to pick up, my stress levels have begun to rise with it. One of my favorite ways to relax at the end of a long day is taking a hot bath with a glass of wine and a book to read. I recently tried out the Olivia Care Body Oil, and even just putting a few drops into the bathtub gives off such a calming smell and helps me relax even more.

2. Orly nail polish

Another one of my favorite products I’ve tried lately is Orly nail treatment + color. One reason that I have loved this polish so much is it is non-toxic. The formula is free of 13 unfavorable ingredients that are commonly found in nail polish. This polish also dries really fast without chips.

3. Binder Clips

Most of my textbooks are in loose-leaf format, which can make your backpack extremely heavy when you carry a few of those around during the day. This year I’ve started taking out the chapter that my class is currently on, and using binder clips to keep it together. This has helped me stay so much more organized, and has taken some of the weight of school off my back (literally).

4. Black Jeans

Black jeans have always been my go-to, but when fall comes around, I find myself breaking them out even more than usual. My favorite thing about them is how versatile they are. Outfits are super easy to put together, because they go with almost everything. If you can find a pair that is comfy and flattering, the outfit combinations are endless!

5. Clinique Moisture Surge

I have been absolutely loving the Clinique Moisture Surge hydrator. My skin is drier, and with the colder weather right around the corner, I know my skin is in for a tough battle. This moisturizer has really helped my skin, so I highly recommend giving it a try if you have dry skin too!

6. Tote Purse

This year I have busier than I’ve ever been before; from running to class, work, the library, the gym, and out with my friends. I have relied on my tote to have everything I need throughout the day.
