Juuling May Be Just as Addictive as Cigarettes

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at MNSU chapter.

Juuling has become the new thing for teens and young adults to do. It is a brand of e-cigarettesthe new term for vaping that has been causing a stir up lately in the country. They are being used in schools, at stores, in homes, and basically anywhere at anytime. Even if they have never smoked a cigarette in their life, kids are getting addicted to Juuling. While some think there is no harm to it, others have a different opinion.

Each Juul cartridge, which lasts about two hundred puffs, has as much nicotine as an entire pack of cigarettes and are becoming just as addictive as them as well. Its sleek design makes it easy to carry around in your pocket, which is part of the reason why it’s becoming more and more common. The product was originally made to help smokers lean away from cigarettes but then the trend caught on for kids to use them. It comes in different flavors and that plays into the addictive part.

Juuling is something a lot of parents are trying to keep their kids away from. However, a lot of kids are able to hide it from their parents so they might never know they are doing it. It is important to talk to your kids about the side effects juuling and even smoking in general have.
