HC: How long have you been dating?

HS: “11 months.”

IB: “We’ve been dating 11 months.”

HC: How did you guys meet?

HS: “We knew each other through Greek Life, but we didn’t officially meet until last year’s Dance Marathon event!”

IB: “We actually both knew each other because of Greek Life, but actually met for the first time last year at Dance Marathon!”

HC: What did you do on your first date?

HS: “Well, we did things a little backwards from most people. We were in the same spring break group last year, and we traveled to PCB together and we spent a lot of time with each other there, which was just a few weeks after we met. Then when we got back to Mankato we went on an official first date at Neighbors restaurant!”

IB: “We actually hung out for the first time after Dance Marathon last year, and then went on spring break together in the same group to PCB last spring… eventually we went on our first date at Neighbor’s downtown!”

HC: Favorite memory together?

HS: “That’s a tough question, I have too many favorites. I think one of my favorites though would have to be spending the week with him in PCB! It was just such a fun week!”

IB: “I would definitely say it’s a tie between when we were in PCB last spring, and when we attended the wedding of an alumnus of Delta Chi this past fall.”

HC: What is your favorite thing about one another?

HS: “My favorite thing about Izzak is his passion for the things he loves. He knows what he wants and he will work very hard to get it.”

IB: “I love how hardworking and wholesome she is. She pours her heart into everything that she does and never hesitates to go the extra mile.”

HC: Favorite thing to do together?

HS: “I really like visiting our families together. Our families are very important to us and every time we spend with them, I feel like we get closer as a couple!”

IB: “It honestly doesn’t matter what we’re doing, as long as I’m with her, I’ll always be happy.”

HC: Tell me something unique about each other

HS: “Something unique about us is last year we were both sorority/fraternity chapter presidents. It was a great experience to share with him. People called us the “Power Couple.” :)”

IB: “I would definitely say we are both unique in the fact that we are both extremely stubborn and somewhat competitive in a sense. While sometimes that can be an issue, we focus on trying to constantly motivate one another to do better, work harder and achieve more!”

HC: What are you involved with on campus?

HS: “Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, Public Relations Vice President; Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing for the Panhellenic Council; Acquisitions Editor for Her Campus; Woman’s Center Intern/Zine Editor; Fraternal Values Society Marketing and Media Coordinator; also a Head Recruitment Councilor for Maverick Greeks.”

IB: “I am involved in Delta Chi fraternity, and currently in the IBE program in the College of Business.”

HC: Who made the first move?

HS: “He made the first move to talk to me in person because I was too scared. LOL.”

IB: “She’d probably kick me if I didn’t say she did. She actually emailed me asking for the Delta Chi sweetheart application, and from there it was history.”
