Thanksgiving brings everyone together to be grateful and stuff your stomach with as much food as you can. We all have our favorites to eat and those family recipes we can not wait to dig into during this time, but there are staples that are never left out on Thanksgiving day.

First we have the turkey, the ultimate Thanksgiving food. It is the first food most people think of when they think of this holiday. Whether you top yours with gravy, cranberry sauce or make it into a sandwich, this is something that you cannot do Thanksgiving without.

Next, we have the stuffing, which is my favorite food to have on this day. My dad cooks it inside the turkey, which just makes it ten times better. There is something about it that gets you all warm inside and keeps you getting up for more.

Then we have the classic sides to go with the turkey and stuffing. There’s the corn, green bean casserole, and mash potatoes, which add even more greatness to your plate. And you cannot forget about the gravy, it can go on anything and everything on your plate.

Finally, we have the desserts. Pies are a huge thing in my family and others for Thanksgiving. From pumpkin and apple to french silk and berry pie, there are so many options for everyone. So do not forget to save room for the pie.

Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful for what you have and the people around us and that is something we can not forget during this holiday. But also have fun stuffing your face with all the amazing food.
