Sara Capucilli ’18

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at MMM chapter.

This week’s cutie just so happens to be one of our very own! That’s right, I had the pleasure of sitting down with the phenomenal Sara Capucilli. If you haven’t read her most recent review of MMC’s Glamour Group yet, do it now. It is a MUST. Want to learn more about this classy broad? Read on for my Q and A with Sara!

Tell us your name, age, year, and hometown.

Sara Mae Capucilli. 19. Sophomore. Syracuse, NY.

How do you feel about being elected HCMMM’s Campus Cutie this week?

Like when I’m rich and famous we can all reminisce about how Her Campus was the first interview I did. I’m kidding, I feel honored of course!

Major/Minor?

Comm Arts major, Fashion and Dance minors

What’s your favorite spot on campus?

In between the stacks of books in the library, preferably with a coffee.

Who is your celebrity crush?

Chace Crawford ever since the Gossip Girls days. Fun fact, his mug shot is framed in my room.

If you could spend one day with your crush, what would you do?

Go to a killer brunch obviously. Then, maybe just walk around or go to a park or museum. Something low-key and a bit spontaneous. After that we’d go to an amazing dinner because food is a very important part of every day.

What is something most people don’t know about you?

When I was three, I jumped off the couch and broke my arm because I was dancing too hard to my mom’s Shania Twain album.

On campus, where do you get your caffeine fix? Starbucks or the Cafe?

Starbucks!

What is your go-to drink at that place?

Grande skinny chai tea latte with two pumps of hazelnut.

Best memory at MMC?

Apple fest! Apples are very important during the fall.

Where do you see yourself in five years? Ten?

5 years… I honestly have very little clue, so I’ll say that I hope I have a job somewhere in the fashion industry right here in New York.

10 years…  Hopefully I’ll have worked up to a higher position at work, maybe I’m planning my wedding, and travelling as much as I can. Oh and I also have a cat or three.

What advice do you have for freshman?

Do stuff. That sounds so obvious, but it’s easy to get caught up in school and homework (and Netflix) and not take advantage of everything at Marymount or in the city.

Favorites!

Class you’ve taken: Plagues and Humankind (try it, it’s crazy)

Restaurant in NYC: Via Vai in Astoria. Italian perfection.

Park in NYC: Central Park, it’s just always insta-worthy

Movie: Princess Diaries 2 (no offense to the original)

Song: “To Build a Home” by The Cinematic Orchestra or OneRepublic’s Native album

Book: Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov

Snack: POPCORN. It’s kind of become a food group for me at this point.

Pick one!

Stay up late or wake up early? Stay up late of course

Walk or subway? Walk, there’s so much to see and more people will see your outfit, which is a serious thought I often have.

Concerts or Broadway Shows? Wow this is basically a trick question for a Marymount student, but I’ll go with concerts since no one will hate you for singing along.

Ice Cream or Frozen Yogurt? Ben & Jerry’s chocolate therapy!
