Melissa Levinson (Missy). I’ll be 20 in about 2 weeks. Sophomore, I think. Montville, New Jersey.
How do you feel about being elected HC MMM’s profile this week?
I don’t think I was elected, I think I nominated myself, lol.
Major/Minor?
Double Major in Strategic PR and Digital Journalism.
What is your on campus involvement?
I am a recruiter for the COMM department. I also am a frequent flyer in the library – that’s the hub of the school so I feel super involved just sitting there.
What’s your favorite spot on campus?
Library.
Who is your celebrity crush?
ASHTON KUTCHER!
If you could spend one day with your crush, what would you do?
Since he is married – I would respect Mila and baby Wyatt and soon to be baby #2. So after the initial shock and staring endlessly at him, maybe do fun things in NYC. I really don’t know. Just being graced with his presence is enough.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I honestly don’t know… I’m kind of an open book. I guess that I’m really insecure which the reason for my awkward outgoing personality with sometimes insulting or out of context comments. I don’t do it on purpose.
On campus, where do you get your caffeine fix? Starbucks or the Cafe?
I don’t really get caffeine because I always have enough energy.
What is your go-to drink at that place?
I do go to Starbucks every morning to get my Peach Green Tea Lemonade.
Best memory at MMC?
Using the bathroom in Starbucks to make life altering decisions with my friends Nikki and Sabrinna. Sorry we’re not close enough to tell you the whole story…
Where do you see yourself in five years? Ten?
I have insanely high expectations for myself. After Marymount, I want to go to grad school at either Columbia or NYU. After or during that, I want to jump right into the work world. My dream job would be to work at E! News. Ideally being Giuliana Rancic is like #goals. I’m also really enjoying the PR side of Communications so if life takes me down that path I’m good with that. As long as I’m healthy and still have my family and friends with me, I’ll be happy. Although a boyfriend/hubby would be nice. No children just tons of dogs! I have already named them.
What advice do you have for freshman?
Don’t worry about making friends and fitting in right away. You will find your people, and sometimes they’ll find to you.

Wake up Early (in fact I do everyday and come to school at least an hour before my class just in case because I’m weird).

Concerts… Broadway sucks lately (theater majors don’t judge me).

Ice Cream, but only if it’s Ben and Jerry’s!
