Name: Lucas MacKenzieHometown: Hull, Massachusetts.Major: Entrepreneurship with a Hispanic Studies minorOn Campus Involvement: Treasurer of the Mock Trial Club, Resident Assistant at 1760Past Internships/Jobs: I operate a carousel back home during the summer and work as an RA in the city. I had a really cool internship with an organization called HeadCount last spring where I helped people get registered to vote at concerts and live music events!Best memory at MMC: I went on the Alternative Spring Break trip my freshman year and we worked on an animal sanctuary in Woodstock, NY, it was a really great week volunteering and then had a lot of fun with the kids and pulling pranks on each other!Fav Class You’ve Taken: The History of Rock Music class with Professor Johnson or my Writing 101 class on dystopias!Advice for freshman: Join a club, it makes a world of a difference to know people that share the same interests. Another tip is go out and a find some place on your own that you love whether its a coffee shop, restaurant, public park, or small little store because its great to have somewhere to go by yourself when you need a little alone time and it makes you seem really cool to your friends that come to visit when you show them an off the beaten path spot. My last tip is to make sure you get off Manhattan and visit and explore the other boroughs! There is so much more to New York than Manhattan and I think we forget about that.

FavesMovie: The movie Hick with Chloe Grace Moretz, Blake Lively, and Eddie Redmayne. It’s about a girl whose parents basically abandon her on her 13th birthday after her dad gives her a revolver as a present and she travels across the midwest to become a showgirl in Vegas, but she realized the world is crazy place and people aren’t what they seem. I also love any Sandra Bullock movie ever made.TV Show: The O.C. was/still is everything to me. I aspired to be Marissa Cooper when I was little.Book: Anthem by Ayn Rand, it was one of my summer reading books for senior year of high school and I read it the first time in one day and I’ve reread it a few times over since then.Study Spot: I am always either studying or passed out on the floor in the stacks by the back of the library on the first floorSong: Blood Bank by Bon IverSnack: I love those weird fruit leathers snacks. They are super weird but also super delicious.Celebrity Crush: Matty Healy of The 1975 or Lana Del ReyMagazine: Billboard Magazine, I always read it every time the library at school gets the new issueWebsite: I spend hours on YouTube looking for new music and cool remixes!

Pick One!Ice Cream or Frozen Yogurt? Ice Cream!Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts?  Dunkin Donuts, I’m from Mass so I got to stay loyal.Stay up late or wake up early? Staying up late! I’m not a morning person, I don’t even know how I get to school every day.Brooklyn Nets or New York Knicks? The Nets, but I’m more of a hockey fan than basketball.Concerts or Broadway Shows? Concerts!Union Square Park or Washington Square Park? Union Square ParkWalk or Subway? Walking because you get to know the neighborhoods better than if you are underground all the time.Gossip Girl or Sex & The City? I do love Blake Lively but love Sex & The City more
