If you’re like me, you have been counting down the days for our favorite red-headed hunk and the rest of the Riverdale gang to return to our screens. “Riverdale” Season 3 premieres on October 10, at 8:00 pm on the CW. If you haven’t caught up on seasons 1 and 2 on Netflix, I would highly recommend hunkering down for a Columbus Day Weekend binge right before the season 3 premiere. Who knows which (masked) faces might rejoin the screen this season?

As many hints and teasers have been dropped about this season, there’s still a lot we don’t know. The trailer released for season 3 (linked below) revealed some pretty confusing hints that only the equally confusing plot lines of Riverdale could possibly clear up for us.
It became pretty clear last season that there was definitely something between Alice Cooper and FP Jones, and now with Hal out of the picture, the two are revealed to be pretty cozy in bed in the season 3 trailer, (with Alice’s Serpent tattoo on full display!) Rumor has it that Gladys and Jellybean Jones, Jughead’s mother, and little sister, will be returning to Riverdale, although no word yet on who has been cast. There’s no telling what this will mean for Jughead and Betty. I would assume not much, as dating a “step-sibling” isn’t the strangest thing to happen to either of them.
Another shocking tidbit from the trailer, Archie is seen with a Serpent tattoo! I understand the Southside Serpents have made a name for themselves in Riverdale, both the town and the show, but it seems now that just about everyone is joining this gang as though it’s an after-school club. Fair warning should be made to new recruits; a former member did get shot last season.
Many familiar faces seem to be returning in season 3. Polly Cooper returns with her ridiculously named twins and a cult-like group known as The Farm. The trailer shows an extremely concerning ritual where the twins are being held above a bonfire. Charles Melton, who plays Reggie Mantle, and Vanessa Morgan, who plays Toni Topaz were upped to “series regulars” in this coming season. This means more Choni scenes will be blessing our screens. The trailer also hints at a Moose Mason and Kevin Keller romance blooming.
I personally have many questions, which can only be answered by tuning in on Wednesday and riding the rollercoaster that is Riverdale, season 3.
