9 Struggles of the Fall Semester as told by ‘The Office’

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at MMM chapter.

There is nothing quite like the beginning of a new fall semester. There’s excitement about seeing your friends, nerves about classes and schedules, and undeniably just a whole bunch of conflicting emotions that come with swapping your beach bag for your book bag. What better way to cope with all the feels that come with fall than through the relatable and comforting words of our favorite Dunder Mifflin employees?

1. The initial optimism.

2. When you forget how to wake up for classes.

3. When you pretend like you were actually productive during the summer.

4. How you feel when the professor plays one of those “tell me something about yourself” icebreaker games.

5. That one person who actually likes the icebreaker games.

6. When the professor asks “Why did you sign up for this class?” but it’s just a requirement so you recycle someone else’s more meaningful answer.

7. Looking at the textbook lists for all of your classes.

8. Realizing how much work you are going to have to do but not wanting to actually do any of it.

9. The pep talk that reminds you that despite everything, you’re going to kill it this semester.
