9 Reasons Why We’ll Always Love Big Ang

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at MMM chapter.

Tragedy has struck on one of New York’s own. Mob Wives star Angela Raiola, better known as Big Ang, passed away on February 18th at the age of 55 from stage four lung and brain cancer. Naturally, her wake was held in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn on 86th street at the Scarpaci Funeral Home. Her funeral, which was held Monday Februrary 22nd, took place at Basilica of Regina Pacis Church in Brooklyn. Big Ang was ultimately laid to rest in Staten Island.

Her wake had the most beautiful flower arrangements in the shape of Chanel, silver Patron, a puppy, lips, and all of the other things that she loved. Big Ang is survived by two children, six grandchildren, a huge Italian family, many friends, and millions of fans. She was truly one of a kind and will be missed greatly. We’ll always love her for her larger than life personality, old school values, respect, loyalty, humor, and uncanny ability to have fun! Brooklyn and Staten Island will certainly not be the same without her. Big Ang knew what life is all about and always had a good time and a drink in her hand.

Life should always be glamorous! We deserve it!

Her iconic phrases “Hi my baby!” and “Get over it!” show that life is all about moving forward!

She had no time for negativity.

Life really is all about having fun!

Diamonds honestly are a girl’s best friend!

You have to stand your ground. Always.

When life is good you cheers and salute!

She always made it clear that she was in charge. Women really are the boss!

Live life to the fullest!

We love you Big Ang!
