The 58th Annual Grammy Awards took place last night (Feb. 15) in Los Angeles. The Grammy’s are the highest honor in the music industry and the big winners of the night were Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Kendrick Lamar, Justin Bieber, Chris Stapleton and Meghan Trainor.

Taylor Swift opened the show in a sequined jumpsuit singing her current single “Out of the Woods.” Before hitting the stage Tay got word that she won Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Music Video for ‘Bad Blood.” She posted an adorable video of her and BFF Selena Gomez reacting ecstatically to the win — you must watch. Later in the evening, Taylor Swift won the biggest award of the night — Album of the Year for 1989. This was her second time winning AOTY. You go, T!

Swift gracefully took the stage after her win and gave an incredibly empowering acceptance speech: “I want to say to all the young women out there: There are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame. But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you’re going, you’ll look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there. And that will be the greatest feeling in the world.”

Here are some of the winning highlights:

Taylor’s buddy Ed Sheeran took home his first Grammy ever, winning the award for Song of the Year with his sensational jam “Thinking Out Loud.” Justin Bieber also won his first Grammy award for Best Dance Recording with Skrillex and Diplo for “Where Are U Now.” The Weekend, who can be heard everywhere, won Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best R&B Performance for “Earned It.” John Legend won Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media for his amazing ‘Glory.’ Unsurprisingly, “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars won Record of the Year. Meghan Trainor was a humble “mess” after winning Best New Artist. Best Rap Sop and Best Rap Performance was given to Kendrick Lamar for “Alright” and then he took home Best Rap Album for To Pimp a Butterfly. Best Country Song went to Little Big Town for their smash hit “Girl Crush”. This years break out country star Chris Stapleton stole the show by deservedly winning Best Country Album. “Don’t Wanna Fight” by Alabama Shakes won Best Rock Song and Muse took home the honor of Best Rock Album for Drones.

The show featured beautiful tributes to some of the most iconic and legendary performers. Lady Gaga performed in David Bowie-inspired makeup and gear as she performed songs such as “Space Oddity,” “Changes,” “Fame,” “Let’s Dance” and “Heroes.” Stevie Wonder, joined by Grammy-winning acapella group Pentatonix, sang “That’s the Way of the World” in honor of Earth, Wind & Fire founder Maurice White.  Jackson Browne and members of The Eagles sang “Take It Easy” for Glenn Frey. The crowd loved the Lionel Richie tribute featuring John Legend, Demi Lovato, Meghan Trainor, Tyrese, and Luke Bryan. But noticeably absent was a tribute for nine time Grammy award winner Natalie Cole who passed away in December. She’s the daughter of legend, Nat King Cole.
