Starting a video diary is a great way to capture the moments of the year. From the exciting to the memorable and even the mundane, short videos from each day is a priceless artifact to look back on what happened during the year.

There are various apps to help you capture short videos from each day and create a video memory for 2021.

One of these apps, 1 Second Everyday, allows users to capture one second clips from each day and combine them into videos, whether you want to have a video from 2021, each month or a specific semester of college. Premium users can add music in the app directly or one can download the video and add music later in a video editing app or software.

Leap Second is another video journal app that allows users to capture one second videos and combine them.

If you don’t want to do use an app, you can take a short video every day on your camera app of friends, a meal, your surroundings or even yourself.

Another way to capture a video diary is to take a short video of yourself talking every day about your feelings and experiences during the day. This is a perfect way to try a new form of journaling.

Having a video diary has helped me gain an appreciation for little moments of each day. Even if I don’t have anything exciting planned, I try to capture something. Whether that is just my computer while doing homework or the sun out my dorm room window, it is still fun to look back on everything I did during the year.
