A weekend of Roots and Blues

During a performance at the Roots and Blues Festival, Alex “Sharpe” Ebert and Jade Castrinos of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros twirl around each other during the band’s hit song “Home.” Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros performed Friday night Sept. 21, 2012. Other performers at the festival included Al Green, Pokey Lafarge, Rodriguez and many more.

 Roots and Blues Festival attendees spread out on blankets and chairs in Peace Park over the weekend of Sept. 21-22, 2012. The festival celebrate’s Columbia’s history, while also generating a positive economic impact on the college town.
