The time has come to say goodbye to the summer season. It can be sad for those who dread putting away their dresses and sandals, but it can be exciting for those who love blazers and boots. Fall is known as fashion’s best season because of numerous transitional pieces, trends and colors. Below are three looks, assembled from pieces found at Britches boutique. These ensembles are sure to get you through this fall without wearing a single sweatshirt.
School Days
Getting dressed to attend classes everyday can be tough, but Nike shorts and tank tops should always be your last resort. You’re not required to dress up as a homecoming queen for an 8 a.m. lab, but be aware that someone (even that cute boy in the back row of the lecture hall) is always watching you. The look below is perfect for those days when you hit snooze a couple times. Just because you feel tired doesn’t mean you have to look it. The yoga pants will keep you comfy, the snakeskin shirt will dress up the pants and the jacket will keep you warm in Missouri’s bipolar morning weather.

A Night On the Town
This weekend I witnessed so many freezing bodies wearing sleeveless tops, dresses and shorts as they stood in lines outside of 10 Below and Bengal’s. If you’re a collegiette™ who prefers to wear a dress over jeans when it’s time to party and hang out with girlfriends on Friday and Saturday nights, you should be able to do so without shivering the entire night. Top a dress with a colorful blazer to guarantee complete warmth as well as pure chicness.

Sassy Saturday
We all like to come out of our sweatpants and t-shirts to look presentable on weekends, but throwing on a summer dress isn’t exactly ideal now that the temperature is dropping. Try pairing a long sleeve blouse with a pair of leather or suede shorts. The fabric of the shorts will remind you of the season, and the sleeves on the blouse will keep you warm.
