Staff Spotlight: Elizabeth Berg

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Mizzou chapter.

Our Staff Spotlight this week is Co-Campus Correspondent Elizabeth Berg! Elizabeth is a junior who recently returned from her semester abroad in Brussels, and the Her Campus Staff couldn’t be happier to have her back. Learn more about Elizabeth below!

Hometown: Oro Valley, Arizona

Year in school: Junior

Dream Job: President (lol but only half kidding)

Major: Strategic Communication with a focus in Public Relations

Minor: Political Science

Campus Involvement: Campus Correspondent of Her Campus Mizzou, member of Chi Omega

Why did you choose Mizzou? The No. 1 journalism school is tough to turn down, especially once you’ve seen the campus.

Favorite Pick-up Line: I once had a guy say, without a trace of sarcasm, “If you were a vegetable, then you would be a cute-cumber.” It’s stuck with me ever since.

Favorite MoviePride & Prejudice because I’m hella basic.

Favorite Food: Iced coffee, french fries

Favorite Place: Paris – I legitimately cried when I saw the Eiffel Tower in person for the first time.

Fun/unique fact about yourself: I have an intense fear of frogs and toads. They’ve freaked me out ever since I was a kid.

If you could trade lives with anyone, who would it be and why? Olivia Pope. She is such a badass and always has it together. If she was a real person, I would take her job in a heartbeat.

What do you like to do for stress relief? I kick box. Hitting a punching bag when you’re stressed is the best.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? I am living in a city working as a public affairs or public relations specialist in a super cute loft with my dog and a Starbucks around the corner.

What’s been your favorite part about college so far? The people. The best part of going to a big school like Mizzou is meeting new cool and interesting people every year.
