On Feb. 9, 2018, Sherri Hill participated in New York Fashion Week. The one thing I have to say about this show is WOW! The world of Homecoming and Prom just got even more interesting. Sherri Hill brought together a very powerful and fierce collection, which is very representative of the several women’s movements going on right now. Sherri Hill hit the nail on the head in trying to convey the powerful, sassy, fierce and confident young women in their collection.
Sherri Hill brought something that I would’ve never imagined in the Special Occasion world: cheetah print. Yet, they made it work so well. These models are stunting down the runway in these gowns. Who know cheetah print could be such a wonderful thing! In addition, Sherri Hill incorporated a lot of black into her collection. A girl can really have it all!
Although these dresses may be a little cold to wear right now in the winter months, these short spicy dresses are a hot number for homecoming or a semi formal. The detailing is so mesmerizing, it’s hard not to just start at these dresses for hours on end. The base of each dress is a dark color which contrast beautifully with the more bright and defined colors included in the beading.
Fringe is back again at NYFW! In Sherri Hill’s September NYFW, fringe was a huge statement piece. The fun and flirtiness in the movement of the fringe is something every girl wants. Ranging from short sleeve, halter necks and two-pieces, Sherri Hill continued to impress us with her abilities.

For a little pop of color, we saw some beautiful blue gowns hit the runway. A very fresh and airy look comes to mind when looking at these dresses. Everyone one will be turning heads if you were one of these to an event! The elegance of it all is quite glorious!

To contrast with the baby blue, Sherri Hill added in a baby pink gown to the collection. If you’re one that just likes a little bit of shimmer, this dress is perfect for you. With the silver beaded appliqué on the bodice, this gown really makes you feel like a princess without being too over the top.
What caught my eye when I first saw this dress with the fabric and color. It’s a very muted gold/taupe color with a shimmer accent. The sweetheart neckline is TO DIE FOR! To spice it up, you could even add a statement necklace to it. Sherri Hill should definitely continue to re-create this look.
