How Does This Season of The Bachelor End? My Predictions (SPOILERS)

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Mizzou chapter.

As Season 22 of The Bachelor revs up (get it?) to one of the most dramatic endings of The Bachelor, fans are on the edge of their seats waiting to see which lucky lady ends up engaged to Arie. If you have been keeping up with his season, you know that Arie has been making some pretty surprising choices throughout his journey, and his final decision could be the most surprising and unexpected yet. Based on the connections we’ve seen on TV, social media and knowledge from inside sources, I have a few predictions on how I think this season will end, and I decided to share them with all of you to see what everyone else thinks. Also, I’m just going to throw in a SPOILER ALERT in case anyone isn’t caught up, so know that you have been warned! With that being said, let’s get down to business.

The Switch-A-Roo: Arie chooses Becca, but is currently with Lauren B.

If you hadn’t seen by now, an inside source revealed a few weeks ago that Arie pulled a Jason Mesnick and is no longer with the woman he proposed to, and that he is currently with his first runner-up! Access Hollywood also released a video of one of Arie’s contestants, Caroline Lunny, speaking about this switch-up and how “heartbroken” she was over his decision and, allegedly, she slams him with some pretty harsh words during the Women-Tell-All. This information is especially interesting because Caroline and Becca just so happen to have become very close friends since filming this season. Arie also left us a clue on good ole Twitter, responding “my favorite flavor” to a tweet comparing Lauren B. to vanilla ice cream. I personally have followed this Becca/Lauren B. crumb trail and decided that one of the most likely endings to the March 5finale will show Arie proposing to Becca, and then revealing he is currently with Lauren B. at the After the Final Rose taping.

The Wrong Proposal: Arie doesn’t choose Lauren B. because her ex-fiancé shows up to win her back.

One of the previews for the finale shows a face-less man showing up and telling Arie, “I want my girl, I’m here to get her back. That’s my proposal to give her.” Lauren B. revealed to Arie on a one-on-one date that she was engaged to another man before she went onto his season, whereas Kendall and Becca have not spoken much about their past relationships, much less very serious ones that ended so soon before filming. If Lauren B.’s ex does show up and make a scene, saying things like he wants to win her back, Arie could decide that she isn’t ready for a proposal from him and send her home with her ex.

The Womack Curse: Arie doesn’t propose to anybody in the finale.

In case you are new to The Bachelor, Brad Womack was the infamous Bachelor who has appeared on the show twice due to not proposing to either women at the end of his first season. In one of the most recent previews for Monday night’s episode, Arie tells all three final women that he is in love with them. Arie could feel too conflicted by his emotions and decide to not propose to any of the women since he feels the same for all three, or realize that he can’t commit himself fully to just one of them since he loves the other two women as well.

In all, only Arie and his final three women know what happens, but I have a good feeling that one of these three predictions could come true. Until then, though, all of us will continue to watch with rapt attention and full wine glasses to see what all goes down this week at the Women-Tell-All and Arie’s Fantasy Suite dates!
