Hello Kitty has been a pop icon since 1974, and there are a few details about this feline that some people may not have realized before. By looking into the cartoons, one will find that her full name is actually Kitty White. She was born in a suburb outside of London, which makes her British. She also has a twin sister named “Mimmy.” But one of the biggest questions that most people have when it comes to Kitty is the fact that she has no mouth.

According to Sanrio, “Hello Kitty speaks from her heart. She’s Sanrio’s ambassador to the world and isn’t bound to any particular language.”

In Hollywood, Warner Bros. announced that it will be working on its first feature film where the mouthless feline may speak for the first time. Producers have not yet disclosed information on whether or not she will be given a voice to speak. Warner Bros. is hoping that this film will be a success for them as they compete with Disney and Netflix. The film is set to include 20 Sanrio characters and will release globally in theaters this year.
