We have finally found Mizzou’s next star on the horizon! Meet Bryson Bruce, the guy who dreams of making it big with his acting or work done behind the scenes. You can see him singing in his a cappella group or, if you’re lucky, riding around on a unicycle! This enthusiastic cutie is one you won’t want to miss.

Name: Bryson Bruce

Hometown: Lee’s Summit, Mo.

Major: Information Technology

Relationship status: Single

Favorite quote: “Live life. There’s plenty of time to be dead.”

Favorite movie: Hitch

Campus involvement: “Mizzou Forte. I am the music director of our coed a cappella group. We sing anywhere from top 40 hits, like Gavin DeGraw’s ‘Not Over You’ to classics like ‘Unchained Melody’ from the movie Ghost.”

Unique fact: “I can ride a unicycle!”

Five words that describe me are: Optimistic, romantic, spastic, tech-savvy and everywhere

If I were an animal, I would be: “Some sort of bird, because the idea of flight is the most tantalizing feeling out there! The freedom and adventure that would follow flight would be amazing.”

Hidden talent: Rubik’s cube solver

Favorite Mizzou memory so far: “Auditioning for America’s Got Talent with Mizzou Forte last semester.”

Perfect date: “Cliché, but dinner and a movie. But I would switch the dinner and the movie, so all through dinner we would have a great conversation. We would start talking about the movie but end up diving into a million different conversations that show me all of the great things about her (and hopefully she sees some pretty cool aspects of my personality as well).”

What I look for in a girl: “A sense of humor, a strong voice – not too outspoken and transparent – and a spark for adventure and mystery.”

Favorite study spot: The Shack at the Student Center

One thing on my bucket list: Skydiving

In 10 years I will be: “Finishing up acting in my second movie and looking over the script of my third.”

If I were a Crayola crayon, I would be the color:  “Jazzberry Jam or Wild Blue Yonder. Depends on the day.”

Lindsay Roseman is a senior at the University of Missouri, studying magazine journalism and Spanish. In Columbia, she is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta women's fraternity, Mizzou For Malawi Steering Committee, and can be spotted on campus touring potential Journalism School-ers. This Chicago native loves a good Jodi Picoult book, trying new foods, traveling, and hitting the pavement for a run. After reporting for the school newspaper and interning in her hometown, she spent the summer in NYC at Women's Health Magazine and now is so excited for a great year with HC Mizzou!
