Best Parts of She-Ra In Honor of the Second Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Mizzou chapter.

Today shall now officially be called “She-Ra Season 2 Day.” I’m making it happen, everyone. There’s no room for argument.

Though I haven’t had a chance to sit down and watch it quite yet, I know season 2 is going to be just as (if not more) amazing that the first season. The show runner, Noelle Stevenson, is one of the most creative artists and storytellers I’ve never seen, and she’s dedicated to telling diverse, complex storylines with tons of characters of color and queer characters, which is pretty groundbreaking for any show, but especially one that’s for younger girls.

Here are just a few of my favorite parts of season 1, which I compiled as a way to cope with the fact that season 2 is HERE and I can’t watch it until TONIGHT! Woe is me. Without further ado:

Seahawk and Glimmer being an unlikely team!

Bow being his amazing self!

Spinnerella and Netossa, AKA couple of the year!

The awesome transformation scenes!

The princesses! (I’d die for all of them)

The rad-as-hell intro song!

Adora and Catra totally being in love!

Keep a lookout for my review next week, which will almost definitely be positive unless there’s some strange twist of fate. In the meantime, you can check out my review of season 1 here, and if you want to check out some of my other reviews, you can peek at my brutal review of The Magicians’ season 4 finale. Onwards and upwards, fellas!

CC for Mizzou's chapter of Her Campus! I am currently a senior at the Missouri School of Journalism, specializing in magazine editing. Have a wonderful day, you!
