Are you and your friends starting to make some SB12 plans? Can’t decide what kind of vibe you want to have? Well Her Campus Mizzou has five different ways to enjoy a week away: splurge, sun, ski, serve or save.

Splurge – Cancun, Mexico

Airfare from Lambert-St. Louis International Airport plus a 7-day, 6-night stay in hotel: $6,000

If you’re down to spend extra cash, then this is the trip for you! Cancun attracts a lot of crazy spring breakers, but it is just a short ferry or bus ride from slower-paced destinations like Cozumel, Playa del Carmen and Riviera Maya.
There are plenty of unique activities to keep you busy if you need a day away from the beach and clubs include. Consider visiting Chichen Itza, exploring or zip-lining in the Mexican jungle or swimming with dolphins.

Sun – Panama City Beach, Florida
Airfare from STL plus a 7-day, 7-night hotel stay and 15 hours of free drinks: $800
Get some major beach time with tons of fellow college-aged spring breakers in the ever-popular PCB. The city has an avid nightlife and live music scene. If you’re up for a wild week away from Mizzou, then this is the place for you.

Ski – Breckenridge, Colorado
Airfare from STL plus a 7-day, 6-night hotel stay: $2,000
Breckenridge is a great place to hit the slopes. It also features an abundance of other activities including snowmobiliing, dog sledding and snow sledding. You can always venture to the shops and restaurants, too, or check out the live music and nightlife.

Serve – Alternative Spring Break

Total cost: $200

You conduct fund-raising in order to raise the rest of the trip’s cost. You could go anywhere from Atlanta to Memphis to Cincinnati to the Dominican Republic! On Alternative Spring Break, you’ll address issues such as urban health problems, HIV/AIDS awareness, degradation of the environment, urban poverty, cancer and physical and mental disabilities.

Save – Las Vegas
Airfare from STL plus a 4-day, 4-night hotel stay: $600
Enjoy MTV’s infamous Spring Break party, which this year is in Las Vegas. The four-night stay at the Palms Hotel & Casino includes poolside parties, MTV concerts and free admission to select nightclubs. Not into gambling? You could watch the Bellagio Fountains “dance” or go to a show, such as Cirque du Soleil. Ride the roller coaster at New York New York hotel, take in the view from the top of the Eiffel Tower, visit historic downtown and shop and eat like there’s no tomorrow.
Lindsay Roseman is a senior at the University of Missouri, studying magazine journalism and Spanish. In Columbia, she is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta women's fraternity, Mizzou For Malawi Steering Committee, and can be spotted on campus touring potential Journalism School-ers. This Chicago native loves a good Jodi Picoult book, trying new foods, traveling, and hitting the pavement for a run. After reporting for the school newspaper and interning in her hometown, she spent the summer in NYC at Women's Health Magazine and now is so excited for a great year with HC Mizzou!
