As the leaves begin to turn orange, your pinterest board fills with pumpkin spice recipes and you rewatch all the Gossip Girl Thanksgiving episodes, the only thing that is missing is your perfect fall playlist. Don’t worry, I have you covered! I brewed the perfect, cozy playlist filled with songs that never get old.

   1.  Autumn Leaves – Ed Sheeran

Not only does the title itself scream “fall vibes,” but Ed Sheeran’s ‘Autumn Leaves’ is going to leave you wanting to be wrapped in a warm blanket next to a wood fire with someone you love.

   2.  cardigan – Taylor Swift

In late July, Taylor Swift surprised us all with the announcement of her eighth studio album ‘folklore.’ The album did not disappoint and remains in the top 10 of Billboard’s Top 200 for the tenth week in a row. Swift’s ‘cardigan’ has been argued her best song since ‘All Too Well,’ and is a necessity on this fall playlist.

   3.  Stubborn Love – The Lumineers

It is not a true fall playlist without The Lumineers. The folk-rock band’s ‘Stubborn Love’ has remained essential for any fall playlist since it was released in 2012, and is perfect for that brisk walk home.

   4.  if this is the last time – LANY

LANY’s new album ‘mama’s boy’ was just released on October 2, but their heart-grabbing single ‘if this is the last time’ was released at the beginning of July. This song will make you want to drive home to your parents just to give them a hug.

   5.  The Unknown – ford. x Hanz (feat. Ayelle)

Picture this: you are driving down the backroads on a Friday afternoon after finishing your last exam before Thanksgiving break, and this electronic song is playing – a perfect scenario! This song was featured on Apple Music’s Pure Yoga playlist, and if that doesn’t yell “calming fall ambiance,” then I don’t know what does.

   6.  I’m with You – Vance Joy

Vance Joy’s soothing voice and sweet lyrics in his song, ‘I’m with You’ will make you want to pour a cup of coffee and watch the leaves change colors. The Australian singer-songwriter released this romantic tune among other indie-pop songs on his last album released in 2018, ‘Nation of Two.’ Joy is currently working on his third studio album.

   7.  White Blank Page – Mumford and Sons

The British folk-rock band, Mumford and Sons, became more well-known after their song ‘I Will Wait’ almost topped charts in 2012, and they finally had a well-deserved number one single in 2015 after releasing ‘Believe.’ You could pick almost any song off the band’s albums ‘Babel’ and ‘Sigh No More’ and it would fit the fall energy.

   8.  Carin at the Liquor Store – The National

I picked this song for the rainy, fall days that tend to put us in a dreary mood. The 21-year-old band released their song ‘Carin at the Liquor Store’ in 2017, ahead of their album ‘Sleep Well Beast.’

   9.  Wonder – Shawn Mendes

This idyllic song from the 22-year-old singer-songwriter was just released October 2, giving us a sneak peak into his upcoming album, ‘Wonder,’ which is set to be released on December 4. The new single was accompanied by a theatrical and beautifully-made music video that will definitely put you in the mood to cuddle up and watch a cozy movie.

   10.  Fool’s Gold – One Direction

I couldn’t help myself, I had to add a One Direction song to this playlist. This ballad from the British band was released in 2014 on one of their last albums put out before the musicians went their separate ways. This love letter is the perfect song to stream on your chilly drive home.
