A theme of the 2020s has been the revival of trends. From scrunchies to Converse, many prominent trends from different decades have had their second chance in the spotlight. Recently, many trends from the early 2000s into the 2010s have made a comeback.Â
Tuscan ParadiseÂ
As I was scrolling through Pinterest, as one does, I noticed a very familiar style popping up more and more.Â
Images of rooms that looked strikingly similar to my childhood home. The warm lighting, the terracotta tile floors and earth-toned walls decorated to the nines with kitschy signs, typically metal or wooden; it was like a page right out of every early 2000s mom’s dream.Â
This “Tuscan Mom” style has become popular mainly because of, you guessed it, TikTok. From “Point of View” videos reminiscing about 2000s rom-coms and daily life to antique shopping to find classic pieces in this style, this trend has really started to make a comeback.Â
Queens of 2000’s Drama
Making its comeback in the scene of entertainment are the dramas. “Gilmore Girls,” “Gossip Girl” and “Vampire Diaries” have been growing in popularity, especially during the fall months. Would it be a 2000s revival without these three classics?Â
For me, there is nothing better than a good cup of tea and a whole lot of drama playing out in front of me. And sure, let’s throw in some vampires for good measure.Â
It isn’t just the shows themselves gaining more attention; it’s the leading characters and sense of fashion.Â
Henleys, low-rise and Capris, oh my!
No one does a layered outfit like teen drama characters do. And their sense of style has influenced viewers even in 2026. Henleys, low-rise pants, color capris and brightly-colored shirts have been making appearances in stores again.Â
Just this summer, Hollister re-released many of their old styles. Cargo shorts and the iconic 2000s-style bikini got a second wind in Hollister stores. Even color palettes that we haven’t seen since the 2000s have been making appearances; most notably, brown and teal.Â
That’s the incredible part about fashion. It’s dynamic and ever-changing, but there are pieces of it that remain constant. Some things are too good to let go of, and trends demonstrate what we shouldn’t let go of quite yet. So maybe we should hold on to all those blazers with shoulder pads; you never know what might come back next.
