This trendy dessert bar fuses Asian and American sweets, and let me tell you, it is definitely Instagram worthy! Known for their aesthetically pleasing dishes, Spot has 4 locations across the city. You are bound to find a location close to you! My favorite dish from Spot is their Matcha Lava cake!

My vegan friends, this one is for you. This vintage pasta place is not only to die for, but their handmade fresh pasta is served classic, vegan, and gluten-free (there is even a separate vegan menu!). Dinners are served candlelight, but this family restaurant is a little tight so I would recommend making a reservation!

Short for Sarita’s Macaroni & Cheese, this mac n’ cheese joint is located in the artsy East Village. With classic, vegan, and gluten free options, you can get your fixing of fresh skillet mac ‘n’ cheese for a great price! Go for the All American Mac N’ Cheese, you won’t regret it.

Every college student’s favorite meal: ramen, but make it authentic. This spot is an authentic Japanese tonkotsu ramen and appetizer specialty with an open kitchen. I love the Karaka Spicy, which is a pork broth dish.

I had to include a cafe, because it is New York we are talking about. This cozy cafe is a hidden gem near Union Square, and it is usually not too busy! Outro is a great spot to grab a bite to eat and grind out some work. They have endless options including coffee, smoothies, and brunch food. Grab a seat in their open courtyard on a late spring day and you will fall in love. Their Nutella Strawberry Banana Waffle is my favorite (it has chocolate ice cream… to die for!).
