The weeks before Halloween are such fun, not only because of the decorations and costumes, but also because of the chocolate candies. Below are my favorite sweets that taste even more delicious during the Halloween season.

Reese’s Peanut Butter CUps

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are the perfect candy for any time of year. The delicious peanut butter filled chocolate cup is transformed into themed shapes for any holiday, which magically taste 10x better. And just recently, the peanut butter cups have been molded into ghost shapes for the Halloween season. This is by far the all-time go-to sweet that’s even better to enjoy around trick-or-treating season!

Oreos

Like Reese’s, Oreos are an all-year favorite that become even better around Halloween. The usual sandwich rounds become stamped with spooky designs while the creme inside is dyed a fun Halloween color, making the treat even more wonderful. Whether you choose to gorge on Oreos alone, or have them with milk (the better option), they are always sure to cure a sweet tooth!

Kit Kats

The crunchy wafer covered in a layer of creamy chocolate is a staple sweet for the spooky season. The best part about eating a Kit Kat is when the chocolate coating melts on your tongue and the crunch wafers are left. My favorite Kit Kat flavor is the original made with milk chocolate, which is thankfully always stuffed in the mixed Halloween candy bags.

Twix

Twix bars are a chocolate treat unlike any other, composed of an outside chocolate coating covering layers of caramel and shortbread cookie. The combination of the three layers is mouth-watering, making it hard to not eat the entire bar. Good thing the trick-or-treat candy bags are filled with miniature Twix!

M&M’s

M&M’s are an obvious favorite because they are the perfect sweet to share with friends (or keep to yourself). The colored, round-shaped chocolates have a hard outside the melts into the soft chocolate inside. The treat is elevated around Halloween and can be found labeled as a “Ghouls Mix”, which are the candies in Halloween colors.

These candies can be a sweet treat to snack on at all times of the year, but their Halloween versions are definitely worth trying!
