Minor: A new STEM minor is in the works, so I am considering picking that up. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and math. The minor would include pedagogy (the theory and practice of teaching) classes for these four areas.

Favorite aspect about Millersville? I’m torn between the amazing education department and the people. I have made lifelong friends that I do not know what I would do without.

What is your dream job? Getting to travel around the world teaching and learning about the school systems in different countries.
Where do you see yourself in five years? Ideally, graduated with my master’s in school counseling and teaching in a 3rd grade classroom in one of the districts near my hometown. Realistically, though, I will probably still be subbing or will be a teacher’s aid, unless I move South in which case I will likely have my own classroom.
What’s something you’d like to do before you graduate? Within the next year/year and a half, all of my friends will be scattered around the state and possibly even the country. I would love for all of us to just go on a big adventure or road trip together as kind of a last hurrah before it’s impossible to get everyone together again.
Biggest pet peeve? When people make derogatory comments. It drives me nuts and literally makes me cringe.
Biggest fear? Failure, especially that I am going to fail one of my kids when I become a teacher.
Do you have a job? If so, where? Williams Apothecary, a family-owned pharmacy in Lancaster.
If you were famous, what would you want to be famous for? Being an advocate and trying to make the world a better place.

Where in the world have you always wanted to travel to? Scotland, hands down.
If possible, what advice would you give to your high school self? It is okay to not to have everything figured out. Just relax, let go and try not to worry so much. Whatever happens, happens.
What’s your spirit animal and why? A dolphin. Dolphins are really gentle and nurturing as well as humorous and playful, all of which describe me to a T. I am constantly laughing and am often the mom of my friend group.
