Why did you choose Millersville? I chose Millersville because it’s close to home and it’s affordable. I originally wanted to be an education major, and knew that MU was a great school for education.
What is your favorite thing about your time at Millersville? My favorite thing has been meeting new friends that will stay with me throughout my life.
Why did you choose your major? I chose my major because I realized education wasn’t a good fit, but I still wanted to help people. I tried out social work and fell in love with my classes right away.
Are you involved in anything on campus? I am a member of the Social Work Organization and Ultimate Frisbee.
What positions have you held in Ultimate Frisbee? I am the community service chair.
What do you think is the best takeaway from being a social work major? Being a social work major has allowed me to become a more open-minded and accepting individual.
What’s your favorite memory of being a social work major? My favorite memory so far has been volunteering at Willow Valley and interacting with the residents on a one-on-one level.
What is your favorite thing to do on campus? My favorite thing to do on campus is finding new arts and crafts to do with my best friends.
What do you plan to do after graduation? After graduation, I plan on working for the Lancaster County Children and Youth Agency. I would like to work in the division that handles child abuse and neglect investigations or foster care and adoption services.
What will you miss the most about Millersville? I will miss the campus environment that Millersville provides and the freedom that I have before I go into the work force.
