Here we are, almost two weeks from Thanksgiving and I don’t know about your guys, but I’m PUMPED for leftovers, sleeping in, and seeing my friends and family. That being said, Leslie Knope is the only way I can truly explain the very best things about Thanksgiving!
1. NO CLASSES!
Seriously, what in the world is better than not having to go to class or do homework for an entire week? Nothing. That’s the answer.
2. Actually getting to sleep in
Sleeping more than 4 hours is a gift that you should always appreciate. Soak up that beauty sleep and fully recharge those batteries so you can conquer finals when the break is over.
3. Seeing your friends who only come home for breaks
Snapchat, Facetime, and texting just don’t cut it anymore when you need to vent about the school year and catch up on gossip.
4. Copious amount of food you didn’t have to pay for or use a swipe
Thank the heavens (and your mom) for saving you meal swipes and flex money so you can buy those extra peppermint mochas when you come back.
5. Themed drinks
You’re a liar if you say you don’t like holiday themes drinks. Especially when apple cider is involved.
6. LEFTOVERS
Hello fully stocked fridge for the next two weeks! Once again, thank your momma for making sure you don’t starve!
7. One month closer to Christmas
And Christmas means Christmas break which also means no classes!
8. Seeing your family and enjoying your time together
Let’s be real though, nothing beats spending time with your friends and family when it’s been a less-than-awesome semester.
