With the semester coming to an end, and the world still shut down from the pandemic, there’s not much we can go out to do. What better way to spend your winter break then binge watching some new shows! Here is a collection of some of the best binge worthy shows, from heart fluttering to scary, one of these ten shows might be a perfect fit for you!  

Money Heist

Money Heist is a spanish heist crime tv series focusing on two long prepared heist on two separate banks. They have a code to not harm anyone in the process, however this is not easily done. This show is full of plot twists, and mind blowing concepts.  

The Great British Bake Off

A long going series of a baking competition, where bakers come together and by the end of the season win star baker. Unlike many baking competition shows in America, this show is calm and full of funny moments. If you want to sit back and relax, this is the show for you. 

It’s Okay to Not Be Okay

A Korean drama that follows a caretaker at a psychiatric ward and his austitic older brother, which after a series of job hopping end back up in their home town. A successful children’s book author forms a romantic obsession with the caretaker and follows him to his hometown. The three of them slowly begin to heal each other’s wounds. 

Avatar: The Last Airbender

A series that got a burst of popularity over quarantine after being put back on Netflix, this animated series is arguably one of the best shows out there. A nation split up by the four elements is thrown out of balance when the fire nation attacks the others. In order to regain balance in the world, the avatar, master of all four elements, must fight against the fire nation. The show follows 12 year old avatar aang and his friends as he restores balance to the four nations. 

Outlander

A second world war era combat nurse gets swept back in time to 18th century Scotland. Here she meets the dashing Jamie Fraser, and eventually she becomes torn between Jamie, and her fiance back from the future where she had come. With 5 seasons, plot twists, adventures and romance, this show will captivate you. 

American Horror Story

A horror television series where each season focuses on a different horror concept, each season will keep you on your toes. Many of the actors reappear in each season, usually playing new characters. This show is definitely not for the faint of heart, but that doesn’t change how amazingly crafted each season of AHS is. 

Sex Education

A British comdey drama series following an insecure teenager and his mother, a sex therapist. This teen, Otis, goes on to set up a sex advice business for fellow students with their sexual problems. Full of laughs, this is a perfect binge-worthy show. 

A Love So Beautiful

A chinese drama that follows the relationships between four friends from high school until after college. Together this group of friends go through the ups and downs of life, family, and young love. An adorable and heart fluttering show, this 23 episode show is sure to capture your heart. 

We Bare Bears

An animated show following the antics of three bears, a grizzly bear, panda bear and polar bear. The three of them navigate friendship, love, and integrating into human society with the help of their human friend, Chloe. Considered a comedy and slice of life show, this is the perfect show to put on and just check out from reality and enjoy watching three cute bears stacked on top of each other naviated the human world with their friends. 

Emily in Paris

This show follows Emily, a girl from Chicago who moves to Paris for work. She adjusts to the cultural differences and challenges of life in Paris while juggling her new job, friendships and love life. With only 10 episodes, this is an easy to watch show that is sure to capture your attention. 

This year has been a hard and exhausting one, but don’t let that be a discouragement to you. Keep plowing through this year and remember that you are allowed to take breaks. Sit down and check out from realty for a little with a good show.
