All college students know the struggle of wanting trendy and cute clothes, but not being able to afford the latest fashion. Well fear not! It is easier than you might think to get the hottest styles and not break the bank. Here are the top places to get the look you want at the prices you need!

TJ Maxx, Ross, Marshalls: All three of these stores are similar in the sense that their clothes, shoes, accessories, etc., are straight from designers, but heavily marked down at affordable prices. They carry Michael Kors (still a little pricey though), Calvin Klein, Steve Madden, Tommy Hilfiger, and many others. You can have the designers you love at prices you’ll love even more! The nearest TJ Maxx is located at 832 Plaza Blvd, Lancaster, PA 17601 (approximately 19 minutes from Millersville University). The closest Marshalls is at 1268 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601 (about 20 minutes from the university). Ross can be found at 2350 E Lincoln Highway, Lancaster, PA 17602 (about 28 minutes from campus).

Kohl’s: Kohl’s is a retail store that has their own brands as well as carries some lesser known brands such as Jennifer Lopez and Access (still very cute though!) Kohl’s is literally always having a sale or clearance, literally always. Also, they have memberships and rewards programs to save you even more money. Most of the time, they’ll accept your expired coupons, and you can stack coupon after coupon after coupon. They also carry everything, so it’s a great place for gifts as well. The nearest Kohl’s from Millersville University is located inside The Park City Mall in Lancaster, PA 17601, about 21 minutes away.

Forever 21: Forever 21 is a retailer that sells their own designs. Not everyone is a fan of their graphic tees, but they have many cute tees/tanks/sweaters/sweatshirts that are not graphic as well. Some of their clothes are thin, but they are extremely inexpensive, so if you need a shirt just for a season or so, it is a great place! They have tanks for $5, leggings for $7, and dresses for $15-$20. They have more casual and flirtatious outfits than the first few places mentioned. The closest Forever 21 is also located in the Park City Mall at Lancaster.

Plato’s Closet: Plato’s Closet is a standard consignment shop, but their target audience is teenage and young adult females. They carry main brands such as American Eagle, Sperry, some designers, such as Tommy Hilfiger, but it is more randomized. They have low prices, and you can even sell your old clothes there. The closest Plato’s Closet to Millersville University is located at 1567 Manheim Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601, only about 20 minutes away!

Amazon: Amazon may seem a little odd to put on this list, but Amazon sells literally everything for slashed prices. If you really cannot find what you’re looking for at any of these stores, why not search Amazon? The nice thing about Amazon is that is solely an online store, so the nearest Amazon is on your smartphone, tablet, or computer.
All of these stores are great places to get the fall fashion pieces you need and still stay in budget. No one needs to know how much you paid for your outfits, so it’s easy to look like a million bucks, even if it feels like you need a million bucks!
